Sanitary and hygienic project
Philippines
Given the great impact that correct hygiene practices have on personal health, especially for the weaker sections of the population, we have launched a project in 13 elementary schools located in Mindoro Island to provide them with pit latrines and water systems, reaching 2,145 direct beneficiaries. Starting such projects in densely populated and very poor zones, where the population is vulnerable due to the territorial and climatic situation, guarantees the prevention of infantile diseases that not only affect children, but that can also spread to their families. Therefore, the final recipients are all the communities involved, resulting in 85,800 indirect beneficiaries.
