In December 2015 the disastrous \u201cNona\u201d typhoon<\/strong> hit Pinamalayan<\/strong>, a town located in the Oriental side of the Mindoro Island (PH), and demolished many buildings. The Banilad Elementary School<\/strong> was heavily damaged, and 3 classrooms were totally destroyed. The school is situated in a very poor rural area, 15 km away from the main town.<\/p>

Kito completed a reconstruction project thanks to its partnership with ASF Veneto<\/strong> and the Philippine Women\u2019s Association.<\/strong> The project\u2019s beneficiaries were 275 childrens<\/strong> attending school and the educational staff, 8 teachers, who until that moment were hosted in makeshift shelters (2016-2018). The structure was made with concrete and steel, with finishes made with local materials such as coconutwood<\/em>, bamboo<\/em> and salawi<\/em>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
